Head In The Clouds Snack Plate Mask

Details

These snack plate masks provide a whole new twist on dressing up! Follow the instructions below to get started. Don’t be afraid to let your kid’s imagination go wild and decorate using their own creative flair. The possibilities are endless!

What you’ll need

  • White paper plate
  • Yellow and orange construction paper
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Glue or tape
  • Scissors
  • Paint or markers

Instructions

  1. Print and trace the provided template or cut the paper plate into a cloud shape
  2. Cut two small circles to make the eyes (tip: poke through with a pencil or pen first to make it easier)
  3. Cut half a circle out of yellow construction paper and tape or glue behind the cloud to make the sun
  4. Cut triangles out of orange construction paper and glue/tape behind the sun to make rays
  5. Using the marker or paint, create a happy face on the sun
  6. Glue/tape the popsicle stick behind the mask towards a bottom corner to make a handle

*Fun tips to make your mask even more fun!

  • Add a rainbow down one side with red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple ribbon
  • Add blue and silver glitter in rain drop shapes
  • Change the sun to a moon and stars with blue and gray construction paper


Starry-Eyed Robot Snack Plate Mask

What you’ll need

  • White paper plate
  • Construction paper in your favorite colors
  • Popsicle sticks
  • Glue or tape
  • Scissors
  • Paint or markers

Instructions

  1. Print and trace the provided template or cut a paper plate to make a rectangle
  2. Cut small star shapes for eyes and a long rectangle for the mouth (tip: poke through with a pencil or pen first to make it easier)
  3. Cut two half circles out of the construction paper and glue/tape to the sides of the plate for ears
  4. Cut skinny strips of construction paper and glue/tape behind the mouth to make teeth
  5. Draw your own robot-like eyebrows and accents
  6. Glue/tape the popsicle stick behind the mask towards a bottom corner to make a handle

*Fun tips to make your mask even more fun!

  • Add a pipe cleaner antenna sticking out of the top! Curl it like a spring or add a cotton ball to the tip
  • Cover with foil for a shiny metal robot • Add sequins or dots of glitter that look like glowing buttons and lights
  • Cut the bottom off a paper or plastic cup and attach to make 3D eyes
